01Interpretation and Definitions
Words with capitalised first letters have the meanings defined below. These definitions apply whether the words appear in singular or plural.
- Application means the Voxly mobile application for Android (package com.voxly.voxly).
- Service means the Application together with the voice-to-text, AI writing, translation, history and floating-assistant features provided through it and the Voxly backend.
- Company, We, Us or Our refers to Gree Web Solutions, Surat, Gujarat, India (website: https://greewebsolutions.com).
- You or Your means the individual using the Application.
- Personal Data means information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to you.
- Content means the text you dictate or type into the Application, and the results the Service writes for you.
02Information We Collect
We collect only what is needed to run the features you use.
A. Information you provide
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Your password is never stored as typed — we keep only a salted, one-way hash of it (scrypt), so no one, including us, can read it.
- Preferences: the language you speak, the language you translate into, your default tone and your theme.
- Your Content: what you dictate or type, and the results Voxly writes for you, saved in your history so you can find them again.
- Support messages: anything you send us when you contact support.
B. Information collected automatically
- Usage counts: how many writes you make each day and of which kind, to apply the free daily limit. These records contain no text.
- App install id: a random identifier created on your phone, used to keep your sign-in secure and to sign out every session on that phone at once. It is not linked to your device hardware.
- Basic server logs: time, request path, result and an anonymous account id, for security and reliability. Logs never contain your text or passwords.
No ads, no tracking. Voxly does not collect your contacts, photos, files, location, call logs, SMS messages or advertising ID, and contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
03Your Voice and the Microphone
Voxly uses the microphone only while you are dictating — after you tap the microphone and until you tap Done. It never listens in the background.
Speech is converted to text by your phone’s own speech-recognition service (on most Android phones, Google’s), in the language you chose to speak in. That service handles the audio under its own privacy terms. The Voxly app does not upload or store your recordings — Voxly receives only the recognised text.
04How We Use Information
- Core features: to polish, rewrite and translate your text when you ask, and to show your history.
- Your account: to sign you in, keep your account secure, and send password-reset codes and security notices by email.
- Preferences: to apply your languages, tone and theme on every device you sign in on.
- Notifications: to show the notifications described in the Notifications section.
- Fair use & safety: to apply the free daily limit, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use your Content to build profiles about you.
05The Floating Assistant (Accessibility Service)
Prominent disclosure: Voxly uses Android’s Accessibility Service API for one purpose only — to put the text you created with Voxly into the text field you are typing in, when you tap Insert.
The floating assistant is optional. To insert your text, it notices which text field is focused, and at the moment you tap Insert it reads that one field’s current text so your words are added at the cursor instead of replacing what you already typed. It never reads password, PIN, OTP or payment fields. Nothing it sees is stored, logged or sent anywhere.
Voxly does not use this access to monitor your activity, read other apps’ content, or perform actions you didn’t ask for. You turn it on yourself, and can turn it off at any time in Settings → Accessibility.
The floating bubble is drawn over other apps (the “Display over other apps” permission) and shows an ongoing notification while it is running, as Android requires.
06App Permissions
Voxly requests only the Android permissions its features need. Optional ones are asked for only when you turn the related feature on.
07Service Providers
We share data only with the service providers we need to run Voxly, and only the data each one needs. They process it on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.
AI writing providers (such as Anthropic)
Receive the text you ask Voxly to polish, rewrite or translate, solely to produce your result. Their API terms do not allow them to train their models on this content.
Anthropic Privacy Policy ↗Translation service
Our own self-hosted translation service translates your text between Indian languages and English. It is operated by us and does not share your text with anyone else.
Device speech recognition
Your phone’s speech-recognition service (on most Android phones, Google’s) turns your voice into text on your device’s behalf. Voxly never receives the audio.
Google Privacy Policy ↗Cloud hosting & database
Store your account, preferences and history securely on our behalf.
Email delivery (Google Workspace / Gmail SMTP)
Sends password-reset codes and security notices to your email address.
Google Privacy Policy ↗09Notifications
With your permission, Voxly shows notifications created on your phone: a confirmation when you sign in or out, update your profile, clear your history or delete your account, and up to three friendly reminders a day. They never include your messages or personal details. Turn them off any time from the app’s Profile tab, or in Android’s settings.
10Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
- Performance of a contract: to provide the features you ask for.
- Consent: for the microphone, notifications, the floating assistant and the Accessibility Service — each of which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and improve reliability.
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
11Your Privacy Rights
In the app you can see and edit your profile and preferences, change your password, delete history items, clear your history and delete your account at any time from the app’s Profile tab. Depending on where you live — including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the GDPR and U.S. state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA — you may also have the right to:
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your account and data.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent / grievance: withdraw a consent you gave, or raise a complaint with us or your local data-protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email info@greewebsolutions.com. We respond within 30 days, and will never discriminate against you for exercising them.
12Data Retention and Account Deletion
- Account data: kept while your account is active.
- History: kept until you delete an item, clear your history, or delete your account.
- Usage counts: contain no text, and are kept for fair-use and abuse prevention.
- Password-reset codes: expire after 10 minutes.
Delete your account in the app under Profile → Account → Delete account — it takes effect immediately. If you no longer have the app, use our account-deletion page or email us, and we will delete your account within 30 days.
Deleting your account permanently removes your name, email, preferences, password and entire history, and signs you out on every device. This cannot be undone.
13Children’s Privacy
Voxly is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact info@greewebsolutions.com and we will delete it.
14Data Security
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS). The app refuses unencrypted connections.
- Passwords are stored only as salted scrypt hashes.
- Sign-in tokens are kept in your phone’s secure storage (Android Keystore) and stored on our side only as one-way hashes.
- Access to your data is limited to your own authenticated account.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
15International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your state or country, including by the AI providers listed above, where data-protection laws may differ. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and encrypted transfer.
16Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy we will update the version and effective date on this page and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
